Before maintaining the air filter element, the engine must be shut down and the safety control rod must be placed in the locking position. If the engine is replaced and cleaned during operation, dust will enter the engine.

1.When cleaning the air filter element, be sure not to use screwdriver or other tools to remove the shell cover or the outer filter element.
2.Do not remove the inner filter element when cleaning, otherwise dust will enter and cause engine problems.
3.When cleaning the air filter element, do not knock or beat the filter element with anything. When cleaning, the air filter element should not be open for a long time.
4. After cleaning, it is necessary to confirm the condition of the filter material, gasket or rubber sealing part of the filter element. If it has been damaged, it can not continue to use.
5. After cleaning the filter element, when illuminating the filter element with lamp, if it is found that there are small holes or thin parts on the filter element, it is necessary to replace the filter element.
6. Every time the filter element is cleaned, a mark of cleaning times should be removed from the outer cover of the air filter assembly.

When the filter element of excavator has been cleaned six times and the rubber seal or filter material has been damaged, it is necessary to replace the air filter element in time. There are the following points for attention in the replacement.
1.Remember to replace the outer filter element, the inner filter element should also be replaced at the same time.
2. Do not use damaged gaskets, filter materials or rubber sealed damaged filter elements.
3. Counterfeit filter element should not be used, because the filtering effect and sealing are poor, dust will damage the engine after entering.
4. When the inner filter core seal or filter material is damaged and deformed, new components should be replaced.
5. Need to check whether the sealing part of the new filter element is adhering to dust or grease stains, and some need to be clean.
6. When inserting the filter element, if the rubber at the end of the filter expands or the outer filter element is not propelled, and the clamp is fitted with a force cover, there will be a risk of damage to the cover or the filter shell.
